What do you get when you have 12 great teams, fancy dress and a dock next to the Thames? Inter Corproate Dragon Boat Racing of course!

On 10 September 2009, Sense International held its first ever Inter Corporate Dragon Boat Race and the competition was fierce but fun. 12 teams took part in heats which culminated in a fiercely contested and very exciting final between the fastest 6 teams. The Pink Surfing Galahs rowed home with the trophy though just pipping The Dragon Boat Slayers past the finish post by a miniscule 1/10 of a second!

The atomosphere was electric as spectators cheered teams on and all enjoyed the fantastic weather, camaraderie and the delicious bar-b-q which followed the competition.

Jeremy Charles, Sense International Chair and COO of Thames River Capital presented the prestigious event trophy to the Pink Flaming Galahs and thanked the teams, highlighting the difference £10k will make to the lives of deafblind children in the developing world.
