Fundraising support

Fundraising may seem daunting at first, but when you take a good look at the opportunities available you will be surprised at how easy it really is.

Think about your own networks, including your family, friends, colleagues and clients. By targeting these people and the wider community, money will start flooding in for your fundraising activities and events.

When you register for one of our events, we will send you a comprehensive fundraising pack, and Sense International staff will be on hand to assist you with ideas and provide you with resources to make your fundraising easier.

When fundraising, be confident and don’t be afraid to ask! You won’t know how generous people can be until you have approached them for support. And if they are not in a position to support you financially, try asking them to donate goods or services which you could raffle or auction off.

When it comes to fundraising, you are only limited by your imagination! Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Set up an online donation page to make it easy for people to give to you from all over the world. Visit www.mycharitypage.com to get started immediately
  • Host a dinner party for friends and ask for their support
  • Organise a gala ball with auction Hold a wine and cheese night
  • Hold a golf day
  • Ask for donations in lieu of birthday, religious holiday or anniversary presents
  • Organise a film night at the local cinema
  • Do a sponsored run, walk, bike ride or head shave
  • Hold a themed party.
