Trek Transylvania

From 6 - 11 June 2008 ten supporters of Sense International took to the hills of Transylvania to raise valuable funds for our work. They spent four days trekking through the lush, fertile countryside and enjoying the meadows, wildflowers and charming villages of this world heritage area.

Their trekking ended at Bran Castle, where they got to explore the rooms of 'Dracula's residence' and admire the view from this mountainous area.

The group then made their way back to Bucharest to visit a kindergarten supported by Sense International. Here they met some of the deafblind children receiving education and support and visited the early intervention centre which screens babies at risk of deafblindness at birth.
