Sense International Board seeks new trustees

Sense International is the leading international NGO supporting people with deafblindness / multisensory impairment in Bangladesh, India, Kenya, Nepal, Tanzania, Peru, Romania and Uganda. We work to ensure no-one is left behind, across health / early years, education and vocational / livelihoods through programmes and advocacy. We work with governments to ensure services are sustainable and inclusive. We transform lives!  Our strategy is focussed on increasing quality services for people with deafblindness; improving understanding of deafblindness; ensuring the voice of people with deafblindness is heard and their rights are realised.

We are seeking Trustees to join our multi-disciplinary Board. We seek Board members, with an interest in international development and expertise in one or more areas including:

  • Charity fundraising for international development
  • Experience of working with potential major donors and corporate partners
  • The disability sector /movement including areas such as special educational needs or early intervention
  • Direct experience of deafblindness/ multi-sensory impairment, or experience through a family member or friend
  • Social media, communications and/or marketing skills
