Jabayer lives in Belabo in Narsingdi, a rural area in Bangladesh. He is four years old and lives with his parents and older brother and sister.
Shortly after he was born, Jabayer began to suffer from seizures and it took three years of medication to bring it under control. The family struggle to afford this vital medication. He is completely blind and has partial hearing loss. When Jabayer was three, he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy.
Jabayer's family struggled to provide him with the support he needs for three lonely years. His mother wasn't sure how to play with him or what she could do to help. Friends and neighbours became afraid of the family and avoided letting their children play with Jabayer.
His mother's dream is that his health will improve and that in the future, he will be able to go to school to receive an education.
