Sense International (Romania) has announced the results of the photography competition they were holding during June to celebrate Deafblind Awareness Week and Helen Keller Day on 27 June.

The theme of the contest was a quote from Helen Keller herself: "The best and most beautiful things in life cannot be seen, not even touched. They must be felt from the heart".

The competition was held via Sense International (Romania)'s Facebook page. Some 95 photographs were entered by 38 professional and amateur photographers from across Romania.

The jury - consisting of professional photographers and Sense International Romania representatives and the official sponsor, EuroGsm, selected the top three photographs. You can find out more and see the photographs on the Sense International (Romania) website.

Twelve of the winning photographs will be selected to be a part of a 2015 Calendar which will be given to the 500 participants of the Deafblind International 16th World Conference, which will be held from 25 to 30 May 2015 in Bucharest.
