Support the Global Deafblindness Resource Hub
Every person with a disability has the right to equal access and opportunity. Too often, this right is disregarded. Sense International works to ensure every person with deafblindness has the right to live, learn and thrive in an inclusive society.
In 2025 Sense International launched the Global Deafblindness Resource Hub to help people with deafblindness to connect with the world around them. Full of accessible resources such as guidance on daily living activities, mobility exercises for parents to support their children, and vocational training programmes, the Hub aims to reach people with deafblindness across the world, providing essential information and opening up new opportunity.
We’re asking our supporters to make a donation to support the Global Deafblindness Resource and reach even more children and families across the globe.
Learn more about the impact of the Hub by watching Alice’s story.
Nine year old Alice grew up in rural Tanzania with sight and hearing loss. Unable to attend school or play with other children, she was left disconnected from her community and the opportunity to learn.
Alice’s mother was introduced to Sense International, who provided her with a tablet to access the Global Deafblindness Resource Hub and a specialist teacher to help them use it from their own home.
The Hub is helping Alice to connect with the world around her. Tutorial videos help her parents with development exercises and sensory stimulation activities, helping her to learn essential skills and to communicate with others.
Thanks to these opportunities, life has changed dramatically for Alice’s family, and she now attends school. Alice has friends, is connected to her teachers and class, and a whole world of possibilities has opened up around her.
