Manchester Canals Trek

Take a step out for adventure and for change with the Manchester Canals Trek – a stunning 42 km journey through the heart of one of the UK’s most dynamic cities.

This full-day trek follows Manchester’s historic canals and waterways, winding past peaceful green spaces, waterfronts, industrial heritage and iconic landmarks, including Old Trafford, Salford Quays and Castlefield. You’ll cover a marathon-distance route as you move from the leafy paths around Sale Water Park into the vibrant heart of the city.

Whether you’re a seasoned walker or new to long-distance trekking, this challenge brings together physical achievement and fundraising spirit. Every step you take will help support people with complex disabilities to live life to the full — and Sense will be with you every step of the way, from training tips to cheering you in at the finish.
